Claire Cameron, Long Term Conditions Outreach and Community Awareness

 

I joined the team in 2013 as the long term conditions outreach worker, which has been developed to provide people living with long term conditions in rural and remote areas in Mid Argyll, Kintyre, Islay and Jura.

I previously worked as a carer with Enable Scotland, I worked for them for 9 year as a support worker with people with learning disabilities, mental health and physical disabilities. 

 

Growing up with a parent with MS has given me the drive and want to help people and their families living with MS and other long term conditions.  I understand the daily struggles and difficulties in people’s life’s. As well as my life experience living with a long term condition.  

 

I have completed my SVQ 2 and 3 in adult and social care and Child care level 2.
